This is the first release from a new act featuring Loretta
Heywood, best known for her global success with Bomb the Bass.
Serendipity was at play when a mutual friend introduced Loretta
to New Zealand based writer and producer Keith Pinney, and Kiss of Deers was born.
Keith has long been a fan of Loretta's voice and her work and had been
developing a song with her in mind. Working between London and
Auckland, Sun on my Skin vocals were recorded at Shush Studios, UK with Danny de Matos AKA Lisbon Kid.
The song's narrative is about longing and acceptance, the gap in our
souls left by someone no longer in our lives. How we feel as
life goes on as we seek for light to regain balance.
Drawing on the experience of personal loss, it is up to the
listener to interpret Sun on my Skin - the perfect tune to provide solace
while the world is in lockdown and we experience a collective sense of
loss.
